Denver, CO CEDIA 2006 September 13 - 17, 2006 Booth # 141 Vidikron, the world leader in design and manufacturing of home theater video display technologies, proudly debuts four new 1080p DLP projectors, at CEDIA 2006. These groundbreaking new models bring the ultimate in high definition playback and superwide CinemaScope viewing to home theaters of distinction. In spectacular fashion, Vidikron once again raises the bar for high-end home video perfection as the launch licensee for the new THX video program*.
The Vision Models 85, 110 and 120 are to be THX certified*, joining Vidikron’s acclaimed 720p Vision Models 90 and 100, which have been upgraded to Vision Model 90t and 100t to reflect their new status as the world’s first THX certified video display products.
Mirroring the platform set forth by their acclaimed 720p siblings, Vidikron’s 1920 x 1080 (1080p) models, the Vision Model 70, 85, 110 and 120, incorporate the most advanced engineering in high definition 1080p, DLP technology. The newest additions to Vidikron’s projector line, feature two high performance single-chip (Vision 70 and 85) and two 3-chip (Vision 110 and 120) projectors, producing exceptional images with rich colors, deep black levels and refined detail.
Each new model includes Vidikron’s exclusive all-digital Imagix video processing which is integrated into the Models 70 and 110. The Vision Models 85 and 120 offer an outboard video processor/controller, providing pure HDMI digital connections from input to light engine for stellar pictures while facilitating all source connections at the equipment rack to reduce wiring complexity.
For the most discerning video aficionados, Vidikron’s award-winning CineWide and CineWide with AutoScope technologies are available; the Vision 85 offering the fixed CineWide option, and the 70, 110 and 120 each available with both the fixed version and the motorized AutoScope option. Bringing the ultimate widescreen cinema experience into the home, CineWide’s proprietary combination of software, electronics and precision anamorphic optics, properly displays movies filmed in the CinemaScope 2.35:1 aspect ratio. CineWide fills the entire screen with imagery, successfully eliminating distracting “black bars” from the top and bottom of the screen while maintaining constant vertical screen height. With CineWide technology no resolution is lost because every pixel on the DLP imaging chips is used instead of wasted.
The Vision Models 110 and 120 have a full range of precision lens options and are equipped with generous electronic horizontal and vertical lens shift for use with multiple screen sizes, room environments, and applications. In addition, they have substantial light output capabilities making them suitable for larger screen sizes and applications where higher ambient light levels are present.
The new 1080p models all have ample input connections for seamless component integration, including HDMI digital video interfaces and RS-232 control connectivity. As always, Vidikron projectors are engineered to meet the exacting standards of the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) ensuring pristine video fidelity, accurate gray scale tracking and brilliant color reproduction no matter the source.
MSRP of the Vision 70 is $11,995, the Vision 85 is $16,995, the Vision 110 is $39,995 and the flagship Vision 120 is $44,995; pricing for the fixed CineWide lens option and the ultimate CineWide with AutoScope motorized anamorphic lens system vary. All models are available in Classic White or the optional Graphite Gray chassis.
