UNION CITY, CALIFORNIA January 3, 2005 Vidikron University, a training program designed to promote excellence in video reproduction for authorized dealers, is proud to pay tribute to its inaugural class of November 2004. Dealers enrolled in the Superior Standards program learn how to expand their businesses through expert product knowledge and improved application techniques that maximize Vidikron product performance. Vidikron U’s first graduating class included twenty-four authorized dealers, and celebrated completing the course at the company’s Union City, California headquarters. In addition to developing their industry and technical knowledge base, each graduate earned CEDIA Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and qualified for advanced ISF certification.
“We are so pleased by the wonderful turnout,” said Jim McGall, vice president of sales and marketing at Vidikron. “One of our objectives in founding Vidikron University is demonstrating our commitment as one of our dealers’ strongest business partners. By providing hands-on experience with our video displays, we aim to develop a thorough understanding of what is achievable with our superior technologies.” McGall added: “As we develop more effective techniques for producing and enhancing high-definition images, we want our dealers to be right there with us on the cutting edge. Vidikron University graduates gain vital knowledge that will help them achieve maximum value from their very next job. And since Vidikron University courses encompass ISF certification and earn graduates CEDIA CEUs, the benefits to attending are impressive indeed.”
The Vidikron University Superior Standards curriculum integrated technical information as well as sales techniques to help dealers obtain maximum product performance, achieve greater productivity in designing home theater projects, while maximizing their target sales objectives. Using Vidikron’s state-of-the-art training facilities and a solid hands-on approach, installers learn how to best calibrate each of the company’s products, preserving digital video signal quality throughout the connection chain, color balancing & thermal management techniques for specific installation challenges (such as high ambient light areas), and more. Course attendees also discovered the benefits of Vidikron’s exclusive Imagix video scaling and image processing technology, while networking with each other and Vidikron’s team of service and support professionals.
Vidikron University’s inaugural class, members of which came as far as Denver, Colorado and Jensen Beach, Florida, were given a complete tour of the company’s headquarters including its manufacturing facilities and engineering departments.
The next Vidikron University Superior Standards training program is scheduled to take place between February 1st and 3rd, 2005. The company will feature new training materials, tech tips and continuing education for accredited graduates through online support.
