It uses native 16:9 aspect ratio, high resolution D-ILA chips.

Vision Model 80 D-ILA Projector
The Vision™ Model 80 is an extremely high resolution 3-chip unit utilizing advanced D-ILA™ technology. The native 16:9 aspect ratio chips offer a resolution of 1920 x 1080, the highest available in a consumer projector. Vidikron’s implementation of D-ILA engineering is combined with our exclusive Imagix™ video processing for impeccable images from any source. All inputs go to the outboard video processor, which outputs 1080p via DVI to the projector.
